Eventually, you can hire someone to promote your services which can help you in a variety of ways. You will have more time to devote to honing your skills as a speaker and may be able to command higher rates.

Choosing the right motivational speaker bureau to affiliate yourself with is an important step in improving your career. These bureaus can teach and inform while giving you credibility. You may want to join more than one association. There are general bureaus for all kinds of speakers, then there are specialized groups designed for certain types of speakers. If you specialize in a particular area, such as corporate motivational speaking, it helps to join a group which caters to this specialty.
